A shared vision
Today, brothers Amir and Arjan represent the third generation of the family behind Ettemadis. With different backgrounds but a shared perspective on style: understanding what suits someone, choosing quality and creating a wardrobe in which everything works naturally together. Together, they build on the knowledge and standards passed down from generation to generation since 1952, translating them into the way a man dresses today. In doing so, Ettemadis remains true to its origins while continuing to evolve.
Amir
My fascination with style began in my parents’ atelier, where I learned from an early age to appreciate clothing, materials and the details that make the difference. After completing my master’s degree in Law, I ultimately chose the family business and a world that had shaped me from the very beginning.
Since 2010, I have led Ettemadis as Creative Director and Style Advisor. Over the years, I have developed my own perspective on how a man should dress today — a point of view I share with our clients every day and regularly explore in media publications on style, clothing and the art of choosing well.
For me, good style is not about trends or simply having more. It is about understanding what suits someone, what a wardrobe truly needs and, sometimes, having the confidence to say what does not work. That belief shapes the creative direction of Ettemadis and the way we advise our clients today.
Fewer choices. Better choices.
We believe that style does not come from endless choice, but from making the right choices. Our role is not to present every possibility and leave the decision to the client, but to provide direction. To understand who he is, how he lives and what already exists in his wardrobe. From that understanding, we advise, select and refine — and sometimes deliberately leave something out. The result is not a collection of individual garments, but a wardrobe in which everything works together and evolves naturally with the man who wears it.

Arjan
After completing my master’s degree, I began my career outside the family business. Those years gave me a different perspective on entrepreneurship and growth, while also making it increasingly clear where my future lay: with Ettemadis, helping shape what our family has built since 1952.
Since 2018, I have worked alongside Amir on the next generation of Ettemadis. We each bring our own background and strengths, but share the same appreciation for style, exceptional materials and the personal way in which we welcome and advise our clients.
Today, everything comes together for me at Ettemadis: personally advising our clients, curating our collections and continuing to develop our house. Together with Amir, I carry forward what our family has created, guided by a shared perspective on style and how we want to express it today.
